Today you’re being reminded that routine can be dangerous.

Take a moment to consider your routines, the things you habitually do without ever really having to think about it.

Routines can be supportive. They allow you to do things with ease and little, or less, effort.

However, routines can also sneak you into habitual patterns, and prevent you from seeing new opportunities.

They can get you stuck in a rut physically, emotionally, energetically and spiritually.

Routines can make you complacent about your thoughts, beliefs and the consequences of your actions.

They can make you think that it’s safer and more comfortable to be in your comfort zone.

This can make routines more dangerous than risk.

Risk makes you consider the options available to you, it reminds you of what you have to lose, and also what you have to gain.

Risk makes you consider if the outcome is important enough for you to actually take action.

It allows you to consider if you are living a life aligned with your values and your truth.

Risk brings your conscious awareness to how you’re currently living and it presents an opportunity for growth.

Even if you decide against taking the risk, you have looked at your options and made a conscious choice based on what’s important to you.

Routine doesn’t often allow this type of regular reflection.

In this very moment, just pause and take a breath, as you consider what routines you find yourself in.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Today’s SHEro action is to think about your routines.

Evaluate if these routines, whether they be activities, thoughts or actions, serve you or prevent your growth.

Are these routines aligned with your truth, your values and desires?

Which are you consciously keeping, and which need a makeover, a shake-up, or removing altogether?

Pause, and take a breath. As you open yourself up to opportunities and growth.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I choose growth over routine”
